The petitioner has approached this Court seeking a direction to respondent No.1 - Maharashtra Public Service Commission to accept the application form of the petitioner on 24th April, 2026.

The contention is that the Maharashtra Public Service Commission issued an advertisement on 18th March, 2026, and the last date for submission of applications was 9th April, 2026. However, in view of issues relating to the age limit, certain candidates approached this Court as well as the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal, whereupon interim orders were passed permitting only such candidates to submit their application forms.

In accordance with the interim order passed by this Court, the Maharashtra Public Service Commission, on 21st April, 2026, issued a press note permitting those candidates

121.WP.3426.2026 2/2 who had approached this Court or the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal, and in whose favour interim orders were passed, to submit their application forms. Respondent No.1 permitted only such candidates to submit their application forms till 24th April, 2026, up to 23:59 hours. 5.

The aforesaid press note is tendered across the bar by learned counsel for the petitioner, is taken on record, and marked 'X' for identification. Learned counsel for the petitioner is unable to point out how the case of the petitioner is covered by the said press note.
