Heard learned Counsel for the Petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader for the Respondents. 2.

RULE. Rule made returnable forthwith. Heard finally with the consent of the learned Counsel appearing for the parties. 3.

By this Petition, the petitioner claiming to belong the "Koli Mahadeo" caste and submitted necessary documents to the Respondent No.2 - Sub-Divisional Officer, Akola. The petitioner's father has also tendered his caste certificate and caste certificate of Akash Kailash Mankar along with family tree. However, the respondent No.2 - Sub-Divisional Officer, Akola rejected the said application, therefore, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the respondent No.3 - Scheduled Tribe Caste Certificate Scrutiny Committee, Amravati on 21.11.2025.

The only relief claimed in this petition is for direction to the respondent No.3 to decide the said appeal in time bound manner.

Considering the limited prayer, we are inclined to partly allow the petition. Accordingly, we proceed to pass the following order :

3 J-WP No.3447.2026.odt (i) The writ petition is partly allowed.

(ii) The respondent No.3 - Scheduled Tribe Caste Certificate Scrutiny Committee, Amravati is hereby directed to decide the appeal filed by the petitioner on 21.11.2025, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of order.

The writ petition stands disposed of in the above direction. No order as to costs.
