2] The contention is that, the petitioner, who is running a Restaurant, intends to run a liquor business, and has, accordingly, submitted an application for grant of FL-III license in Village - Talni, Taluka - Arni, District - Yavatmal. Such application was submitted on 7/7/2025, which is at record page 9 (Annexure - I). The learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that in pursuance to the aforesaid application, a report was called by respondent no.1 - Collector, Yavatmal, and accordingly, the Superintendent of Police, Yavatmal, has submitted the report on 6/8/2025. By virtue of the aforesaid report, the Superintendent of Police, Yavatmal, has granted No Objection for operation of the aforesaid FL-III license, if the same is given as per the terms and conditions of the Government of Maharashtra. After such report was received on 6/8/2025, the learned Counsel for the
108-WP-3567-2026 petitioner submits that even after passage of almost more than 1 1⁄2 years now, the aforesaid application is not yet decided by respondent no.1 - Collector, Yavatmal. 3] In view of above, we dispose of the present Writ Petition with a direction to respondent no.1 - Collector, Yavatmal, to decide the aforesaid application dated 7/7/2025 submitted by the petitioner for grant of FL-III license within a stipulated period of six weeks from the date of production of order of this Court, if not decided earlier. The decision taken thereupon shall be communicated to the petitioner within two weeks from the date of such decision.
