Heard learned Counsel for the respective parties. (2) The Petitioner filed an Application for her tribe validation on 28/02/2024. She is having tribe certificate of belonging to 'Mana' Scheduled Tribe category which was issued by the Competent Authority. She has submitted a proposal for verification of her tribe claim to the Respondent No. 1 - Caste Scrutiny Committee along with the various documents including the validity certificate in favour of her blood relatives. (3) By this Petition, the Petitioner is seeking direction to the Respondent No. 1 - Caste Scrutiny Committee to decide the tribe claim of the Petitioner as early as possible. (4) Learned AGP brought our attention to the notice on Page No. 66 that the last date of submission of the validity certificate was 13/04/2026, however, considering the limited prayer, we deem it appropriate not to issue notices to the Respondent Nos. 2 and 3.
(5) As such, the Writ Petition is partly allowed.
(6) The Respondent No. 1 - Caste Scrutiny Committee is hereby directed to decide the tribe claim of the Petitioner within a period of two months from the date of receipt of copy of this judgment.
(7) In the meanwhile, if admission of the Petitioner is not cancelled, the same may not be cancelled for want of submission of tribe validity certificate.
The Petition stands disposed of in the above terms. Pending Application(s), if any, stand(s) disposed of. (NANDESH S. DESHPANDE, J.) (M.S. JAWALKAR, J.)
