In view of the order being passed, reply of the Scrutiny Committee is dispensed with.

The present petition seeks a direction to the Scrutiny Committee, Amravati, to decide the caste claim pending, within a stipulated period. It is the grievance of the petitioner that he belonging to 'Thakur' Scheduled Tribe, was issued a certificate on 30.03.2025. Thereafter, on 12.11.2025, the proposal was submitted for verification of his caste claim. The said proposal pends till date. In spite of an application moved on 17.04.2026, no action has been taken, and in that scenario the present petition is filed. 7.

In view of the innocuous relief being prayed in the petition, we direct the respondent Scheduled Tribes Caste Certificate

5 wp 3775-2026.odt 3/3 Scrutiny Committee, Amravati, to decide the caste claim of the petitioner, within three months from the date of the order. 8.

The petitioner to appear before the Scheduled Tribes Caste Certificate Scrutiny Committee, Amravati, on 12.05.2026 and to apprise the said Committee of the order of the Court. 9.

The writ petition is disposed of. Rule is made absolute in the above terms.
