The present petition seeks a direction to the Scrutiny Committee, to decide the caste claim of the petitioner, which has remained pending since 09.06.2025. It is submitted that, the petitioner's cousin brother, Rajat and cousin sister, Ashwarya, have already been issued caste validity certificates. The petitioner contends that all relevant documents have been duly submitted along with the

2 wp 3848.2026.odt proposal for caste validity; however, despite compliance with all procedural requirements, the caste claim has not been decided and continues to remain pending since 09.06.2025. It is further submitted that the respondent Committee had issued notice dated 04.09.2025, scheduling a hearing on 23.09.2025. According to the petitioner, all procedural requirements have been duly complied with; hence, a direction is warranted to the Scrutiny Committee to decide the caste claim expeditiously.

We have considered the submissions canvassed by the learned counsel for the petitioner and have also perused the record. It is evident from the record that the petitioner's caste claim has been pending before the Scrutiny Committee since 09.06.2025. In these circumstances, we direct the Scrutiny Committee to decide the petitioner's caste claim within a period of three months from the date of this order.

The petitioner shall appear before the Scrutiny Committee on 11.05.2026 and apprise the Committee of the order passed by this Court.

With these directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
