Mr. Futane, the learned AGP waives service of notice on behalf of Respondent Nos.1 and 2.

In view of the limited prayer and order we are proposing to pass, notice to Respondent No.3 is dispensed with. 5.

Admittedly, the proposal dated 13/10/2025 for caste validation is pending before the Caste Scrutiny Committee. The only limited prayer the Petitioner is seeking by this Petition is for direction to the Respondent No.2/Scrutiny Committee, Chandrapur to decide the caste claim of the Petitioner within stipulated period and that during the pendency of the proceeding services of the Petitioner are to be protected. In view of the limited

2/2 28.wp.4020.2026.odt prayer, we are of the considered opinion that reply of the Respondents is not necessary.

In view thereof, Writ Petition can be disposed of with direction to the Respondent No.2/Scrutiny Committee to decide the caste claim of the Petitioner as expeditiously as possible. 7.

Accordingly, we direct the Respondent No.2 i.e. Scheduled Tribes Caste Certificate Scrutiny Committee, Chandrapur to decide the proposal dated 13/10/2025 within a period of four months from the date of production of this order before the Scrutiny Committee, Chandrapur.

The Petitioner is directed to appear before the Respondent No.2/Scheduled Tribes Caste Certificate Scrutiny Committee, Chandrapur on 14th May, 2026 at 11.00 a.m. 9.

The Respondent No.3/MSEDCL is directed not to take any coercive steps against the Petitioner till the decision of the proposal dated 13/10/2025.

Writ Petition stands disposed of with above directions. No order as to costs.
