The petitioners have approached this Court praying for the following reliefs:

"a. Declare the impugned demolition/removal of shop of the petitioners without following due procedure is unconstitutional, illegal, arbitrary and void ab initio; b. Issue a writ of mandamus directing immediate restoration of the Petitioner's business at the original site or allotment of an equivalent alternative site;

c. Award exemplary and compensatory damages for loss of livelihood, mental agony, humiliation and constitutional injury;

d. Direct initiation of disciplinary and accountability proceedings against the erring officers."

Upon perusal of the petition, it appears that, so far as prayer clauses (a) to (c) are concerned, the petitioners have already approached respondent No. 2 - Collector, Buldhana, by raising their grievance through a detailed representation dated 15th July 2025, which is at record page No. 125 (Annexure-I).

Similarly, with regard to prayer clause (d), seeking initiation of departmental proceedings against the erring officers, the petitioners have submitted their grievance on the Grievance Redressal Portal of the Government of Maharashtra, namely Aaple Sarkar, on 2nd July 2025, which is at record page Nos. 96 and 103 (Annexure-G).

Mr. Deshpande, learned counsel for the petitioners, submits that despite the lapse of a considerable period, the respondent authorities have neither acted upon the aforesaid representation nor redressed the grievance of the petitioners. Hence, the petitioners have approached this Court. 6.

In view of the above, we dispose of the present writ petition with a direction to respondent No. 2 - Collector, Buldhana, to decide the aforesaid representation dated 15th July 2025, which is at record page No. 125, and to the Competent Authority dealing with grievances on the Grievance Redressal Portal of the Government of Maharashtra, to decide the same within a stipulated period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of this order.

The decision taken thereupon shall be communicated to the petitioners within a period of two weeks from the date of such decision.
