Heard Shri. Subhash U. Nemade, learned counsel for the petitioners.

The petitioners - Society have approached this Court with a request to direct respondent No.1 to decide the proposal dated 30.04.2012 which was submitted by petitioner No.1 - Society in accordance with the order of this Court.

This Court, on 25.01.2012 in Writ Petition No.2262 of 2011, had directed the petitioner - Society to submit a proposal and had directed the respondents to consider the same in accordance with law. In pursuance of the aforesaid order of this Court, petitioner No.1, on 30.04.2012, had submitted a proposal to the Deputy Director of Education, Amravati Division, Amravati, which is at record page No.32 (Annexure - D). 4.
Shri. Nemade, learned counsel for the petitioners, has pointed out the acknowledgment of the receipt of the aforesaid proposal on 02.05.2012, which is at record page No.32-A. Shri. Nemade, learned counsel for the petitioners, submits that even after passage of more than twelve years now, the aforesaid proposal is not yet decided and hence, the petitioners have approached this
115 WP-4538-2026 Court with a request to direct respondent No.1 to decide the aforesaid proposal within a stipulated period. 5.
Shri. N. S. Autkar, learned Assistant Government Pleader, has invited our attention to the communication dated 15.09.2025 issued by the office of respondent No.1, which is at record page No.54 (Annexure - L) pointing out that upon search, the copy of the aforesaid proposal could not be found in the office of respondent No.1.

In view of the aforesaid impediment, we dispose of the present writ petition with following order :
O R D E R
i) The petitioners - Society shall submit the copy of the aforesaid proposal dated 30.04.2012 to the office of respondent No.1 through proper channel within a period of two weeks from today.
ii) Respondent No.1 is directed to decide the same within a stipulated period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of such proposal.
iii) The aforesaid decision shall be taken in accordance with law and on its own merits. The decision taken thereupon shall be communicated to the petitioners within a period of two weeks from the date of such decision.
