DATED : 12th June, 2026 The learned counsel for the petitioners makes a statement that the petition is filed with a limited purpose to have access to the building in question which has been sealed by the respondent Authority for not complying the provisions of Maharashtra Fire Prevention and Life Safety Measures Act, 2006. 2.

Since the petitioners have not approached to the respondent-Authority before filing the writ petition, it would be appropriate if the petitioners are permitted to make a request as made in the present petition to respondent No.3.

Accordingly, we dispose of the writ petition with permission to the petitioners to make an application to respondent No.3 with a request to give access to the building in question for installation of necessary fire equipment as per the Act of 2006. If such application is made, the respondent No.3 shall take decision on the same within a period of one week from the date of such application.

If respondent No.3 deems it necessary, shall grant hearing to the petitioners.

Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
