2. This Petition raises the following grievances and seeks relief against Respondent No.5; (a) the Petitioner No.2 claims that her daughter has been victimised and has not been promoted in accordance with the Rules prevailing in PWD to the post of Technical Assistant, (b) the second grievance as raised by the Petitioner no.1 and by Petitioner No.2, a public spirited persons, is that Respondent No.5 has indulged in alleged acts of corruption and favouritism towards certain contractors as also in promoting ineligible candidates within the Public 9th June, 2026

902 WP 421 2026 Works Department. Respondent No.5 has since retired.

3. After hearing this matter for some time, we are of the opinion that the Petitioners themselves would not have any locus standi insofar as the allegations on the service matter raised on behalf of the daughter of the Petitioner No.2. There appears to be joinder of multiple causes of action and the issue of locus standi of the Petitioners has also been examined.

4. At this stage, on instructions from the Petitioners, Mr Padgaonkar seeks leave to withdraw this Petition and file a fresh Petition separating the cause of action which may inure to the daughter of the Petitioner No.2 from the other causes pleaded in the Petition. He seeks leave to refile this Petition.

5. The Petition stands dismissed as withdrawn with leave as prayed for. All the objections of the Respondents are kept open. HITEN S. VENEGAVKAR, J.
