DATE : 30TH JANUARY, 2026 CIVIL APPLN. (W) NO. 228 OF 2026 The present application is filed by the petitioner for grant of permission to amend the petition. By way of this amendment application, the petitioner seeks permission to add respondent Nos.2 and 3 as mentioned in para-4 as party respondents and also seeks permission to add paras-12-A to 12-D and ground ix-a & ix-b and consequential prayer clauses. 2.

It is submitted that after receipt of the letter dated 23/01/2026, it is brought to the notice of the respondents the order of this Court dated 28/09/2018 and in view of that order, the respondents cannot take any coercive action against the petitioner. The petitioner desires to bring these subsequent events on record.

The learned AGP though objected the same, we are of the considered opinion that in the interest of justice and KHUNTE

904-wp6342.18.odt 2/2 considering the fact that the proposed action by the respondent No.2-Deputy Superintendent of Police, Amravati (Rural) is based on the validity certificate to be produced by the petitioner. As such, the application is allowed. The amendment to be carried out within a period of three days. The amended copy of the petition be supplied to the respondents. The respondents if want to place on record additional affidavit/submission, she may file it within one week thereafter.
