No. 720/2026 in Writ Petition No.5280/2025 Coram : Registrar(Judicial) Dated : 27.03.2026 The civil application is filed by petitioner under Order V Rule 20 of the C.P.C., 1908 for substituted service upon Respondent No.1 by way of paper publication. It is contended that the notice issued to the aforesaid respondent received back unserved with bailiff report that noticee's house is locked from number of years. It is further contended that except the address in cause title, the petitioner does not have any other address of Respondent No.1 Thus, the petitioner wants to serve Respondent No.1 by way of paper publication.

Hence, considering the reasons mentioned in the application, the same is allowed. Substituted service be effected upon respondent No.1 by publishing a notice in widely circulated local daily newspaper in terms of Order V Rule 20 (1A) of C.P.C., returnable within five weeks from the date of publication of notice.
