The contention is that the impugned communication dated 17.03.2026, issued by respondent No.2 - Vice Chancellor, Sant Gadge Baba Amravati University, District Amravati, is without any jurisdiction, as conferred under the provisions of the Maharashtra Public Universities Act, 2016. Shri Naik, learned Senior Counsel, has invited our attention to the judgment of this Court passed in Writ Petition No.2348 of 2021 (Shri Santoshrao S/o Madhavrao Thakare vs. Shri Gadge Maharaj
101 CAW-844-2026 Vidyalaya Mandal and Others), which is at record page No.49 (Annexure - M), in support of his contention. 6.
In view of the above, issue notice to the respondents, returnable on 23.04.2026.

The petitioner is permitted to serve the respondent by private mode in addition to regular mode of service and file an affidavit of service by next date, failing which the petitioner shall deposit costs of Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred) with "Public Welfare Account" bearing No.129712010001014, IFSC Code UBIN0812978 with Union Bank of India, Branch High Court, Civil Lines, Nagpur.

Office objection(s), if any, shall be removed before next date.
