DATED : 21.04.2026 1.
This is an application seeking extension of time of two months for deciding the caste claim of the petitioner. The extension is sought in pursuance of the order of this Court in Writ Petition No. 352 of 2026, in which, vide order dated 16.01.2026, this Court has directed the Scrutiny Committee, Yavatmal, to decide the pending caste claim of the petitioner within a period of three months. Present application is filed seeking extension of two months, as stated supra, on the premise that the Committee is overburdened due to the huge pendency of the cases. 2.
Even though the extension is opposed on the ground that the claim of the father is already pending before this Court in Writ Petition No. 4539 of 2021, which Shubham
(2) 920.CAW975.26 is, in our view, cannot be an impediment to grant extension, however, we extend the time granted under the order dated 16.01.2026 by one month, and the Scrutiny Committee is directed to decide the said proposal within one month. 3.
Civil Application is partly allowed and disposed of as such.
