No. 1074/2026 in First Appeal No.264/2022 Coram : Registrar(Judicial) Dated : 24.02.2026 The civil application is filed by appellants under Order V Rule 20 of the C.P.C., 1908 for substituted service upon Respondent No.2 by way of paper publication and by way of Hamdast. It is stated in the application that the notice issued to Respondent No.2 received back unserved for want of correct address.
Further, it is stated in the application that the appellants are unaware of new address of Respondent No.2. Thus, the appellants want to serve Respondent No.2 by way of paper publication and by way of Hamdast.
Hence, considering the reasons mentioned in the application, the same is allowed. Substituted service be effected upon Respondent No.2 by publishing a notice in widely circulated local daily newspaper 'Navarashtra(Marathi)", Nagpur Edition in terms of Order V Rule 20 (1-A) of C.P.C., returnable within five weeks from the date of publication of notice.
Hamdast be granted.
