INTERIM APPLICATION NO. 655 OF 2026 Applicant seeks to condone the delay of four days in presenting the First Appeal challenging the Judgment and Award dated 09.07.2025 passed by the Motor Accident Claim Tribunal at Sangli. 2.

The matter is coming for the first time and under normal circumstances, this Court would issue notice to the respondents. However, considering the short length of the delay, no prejudice would be caused if the application for condonation of delay is considered ex parte.

The applicant Insurance Company has preferred appeal challenging the Judgment and Award dated 09.07.2025 by which the compensation is quantified at Rs.19,09,500/- with interest @ 7.5% p.a.. 6.

Considering the submissions and defense of the applicant, it is desirable to grant stay on certain conditions. 7.

Impugned Judgment and Award shall stands stayed on condition of depositing entire amount of compensation with accrued interest within a period of six weeks from today. Accordingly, the application is allowed.
