The State Government has moved the present application praying for extension of time to disburse the amount of compensation to the petitioner, as directed in operative paragraph 17(ii) of the judgment and order dated 6 October, 2025 passed by this Court in Writ Petition No. 8716 of 2024, which was to be complied within a period of four months from the date of the said order, with all consequential benefits. It is noted that for a period of two months, no steps were taken. It is, however, stated that the concerned officers are now taking steps and that, without seeking any further extension, the said directions shall be complied on or before 30 July, 2026. Only as an exception, we accept the request as made on behalf of the State Government. 2.

We, accordingly, extend the time up to 30 July, 2026. There shall be no further extension for any reason whatsoever. The other contents of the order dated 6 October, 2025 shall remain undisturbed.
