By this application, the applicants/original respondent Nos.2 and 3 are seeking extension of time for the Debts Recovery Appellate Tribunal, Mumbai (DRAT) to decide Interim Application No.165 of 2026 in Regular Appeal No.8 of 2026. The application has been filed in the backdrop of the fact that in the order dated 04.03.2026 disposing of Writ Petition No.15718 of 2025, this Court had indicated that the said application be decided by the DRAT at least within two weeks of 02.04.2026.

We are informed that the hearing on the application is partheard and in an order dated 15.04.2026, the DRAT has recorded that the parties would jointly approach this Court for extension of time for deciding the said interim application.

The learned counsel for the applicants informs this Court that the Chairperson of the DRAT indicated that he may not be available for some period in the near future and therefore, extension of time may be sought, keeping that in mind.

In that light, the learned counsel for the parties jointly request for extension of time by eight weeks for deciding the interim application.
