DATE : 16th JUNE 2026 P. C.:

1.

Ms. Neha S. Bhide, learned Counsel for the Petitioner, submits that the judgment and order dated 19th July 2024 passed by the learned Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal, Mumbai in O.A. Nos. 260/2024, 283/2024, 284/2024, 288/2024, 310/2024, 313/2024, 314/2024, 323/2024, 329/2024, 331/2024, 555/2024, 557/2024, 354/2024, 545/2024, 290/2024, 330/2024, 556/2024, 289/2024, 291/2024, ------------------------------------- Order dated 16th June 2026

904. WP-11083-2025.doc The State & Anr. Vs. Anil & Ors.

706/2024 and 724/2024, and batch of the connected applications has already been set aside by a Coordinate Bench of this Court vide judgment and order dated 7th February 2025 passed in Writ Petition No. 11740 of 2024. However, due to some technical reason, the present Writ Petition was not tagged along with the said matter. She submits that once the common judgment and order has been set aside, the present Writ Petition deserves to be allowed in terms of the said judgment and order dated 7th February 2025.

2.

Learned Counsel appearing for Respondent nos. 1 to 50 has not disputed this factual position but submits that the directions issued by the judgment and order dated 7th February 2025 have not yet been complied with by the Petitioners. If that be the case, their remedy, if any, would lie by way of a Contempt Petition. However, such submission cannot offer a justification for this Court to keep the present Writ Petition pending even after the judgment impugned in the Petition has been set aside.

3.

In view of the above, the present Writ Petition is disposed of in light of the judgment and order dated 7th February 2025 passed by this Court. Interim Applications, if any, also stand disposed of.
