By this Interim Application, the Applicants/Petitioners is seeking direction to Respondent No. 2 to extend the date for filing examination forms and permit the Applicants to fill out the said examination forms through their respective colleges affiliated with Respondent No. 2, i.e., Savitribai Phule Pune University, for appearing in the Summer Session Examinations, including the practical examinations, for the academic year 2025-26.

Learned counsel appearing for the Petitioners has moved this 1/3

2 501-IA-3555-2026 (C).doc Application in view of the Semester 2025-26 end-semester examinations for the concerned course being scheduled to commence on 28 May 2026. 3.

He has referred to the order dated 27 April 2026 passed in Interim Application No. 3168 of 2026 in the above Writ Petition, wherein similar ad interim relief had been sought and granted by this Bench. This Court had taken a prima facie view that the Applicants, having cleared their backlog subjects and the results thereof having been declared in January and February 2026, as borne out from the chart at Exhibit "B" to the Interim Application, and the issue of "carry on" being under consideration before this Court, for which the Applicants had already availed benefit, they are eligible to appear for the 5th and 6th semester examinations for the 3rd year and the 7th and 8th semester examinations for the 4th year. Accordingly, ad interim relief had been granted permitting the Petitioners to fill up the examination forms and appear for the said examinations. Similar relief has been sought on behalf of the present Applicants, who are similarly placed.

Learned counsel for the Applicants has also relied upon the chart annexed at Exhibit D-1 to the petition, which prima facie shows that the Applicants have cleared their backlog subjects. Considering the aforesaid submissions, we pass a similar ad-interim order as the order passed on 27 April 2026 in Interim Application No. 3168 of 2026 and grant ad interim relief in terms of prayer clause (c) by permitting the Applicants to fill their 2/3

3 501-IA-3555-2026 (C).doc examination forms through their respective colleges affiliated with Respondent No. 2 - University, for appearing in the Summer Session Examinations, including the practical examinations, for the academic year 2025-26. This shall be subject to the final outcome of the Petition as well as the determination of the issue of "carry on". The Applicants shall not claim any equities on the basis of this order.

It is further clarified that this order is confined to the present Applicants.

Interim Application No. 3555 of 2026 is accordingly disposed of in the above terms.

It is noted that the writ petition has been placed for further hearing on 12 June 2026.
