CORAM : NEERAJ P. DHOTE, J.
DATE : 09/03/2026 1.
Heard the learned Advocate for the Applicant. This is an Application for cancellation of the bail granted by the learned Additional Sessions Judge, Washim by an order dated 02.02.2026 in Criminal Bail Application No.22 of 2026 in favour of the Respondent No.1, who is the brotherin-law of deceased Puja. 2.
Deceased Puja was married to the accused no.1 on 19.03.2020. She committed suicide on 01.01.2026 in her matrimonial house. The report is lodged by the Applicant against the husband and the in-laws including Respondent No.1 with the Risod Police Station, District Washim for the offence punishable under Sections 80(2), 108, 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. The First Information Report Kavita
2 / 2 57-appln-11-26 shows that, there are no specific allegations against the Applicant. Though according to the learned Advocate for the Applicant, the Respondent No.1 was residing jointly with the co-accused and the deceased, the finding by the learned Additional Sessions Judge that, the Respondent No.1 was residing separately is accepted as erroneous, in absence of specific allegations against Respondent No.1, no fault can be found with the discretion exercised by the learned Sessions Judge in granting the bail to Respondent No.1. I find no merit in the Application, hence, the same is dismissed. JUDGE Signed by: Kavita P Tayade Designation: PS To Honourable Judge Date: 09/03/2026 18:28:20 Kavita
