Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the Applicants.
2. By the present Application, the Applicants are seeking suspension of sentence of the judgment and order dated 7th February 2023 passed by the learned Magistrate in Criminal Case No. 392/OA/NIA/2015/C, which judgment and order is confirmed by the learned Additional
Sessions Judge-I, South Goa, Margao on 26th May 2026 in Criminal Case No. 67 of 2023.

It is submitted by the learned Counsel for the Applicants that the cheque amount is Rs.12 Lakhs and the Applicants have already deposited an amount of Rs.4,80,000/- before the learned Additional Sessions Judge. It is submitted that the learned Magistrate has awarded the compensation equivalent to the principal amount, which is unreasonable and without any basis. It is submitted that the Applicants are ready and willing to deposit the remaining balance amount of Rs.7,20,000/- before this Court.
4. In view thereof, the following order is passed:- O R D E R (a) Issue notice to the Respondent, returnable on 1st July 2026. The Applicants shall pay the process fee by today evening. In addition to the regular mode of service, the Respondent may also be served by Speed Post, Courier, WhatsApp and Email. Affidavit of service along with the tracking report of the Speed Post, print out of the Email and WhatsApp message as proof of service to be filed by 30th June 2026. The Registry to provide the tracking number under which the Speed Post has been sent to the Respondent in order to enable the Applicants to track the same.
(b) The Applicants shall deposit an amount of Rs.7,20,000/-
(Rupees Seven Lakhs Twenty Thousand only) on or before 30th June 2026 with the Registry of this Court.
(c) The judgment and order dated 26th May 2026 passed by the learned Additional Sessions Judge in Criminal Case No. 67 of 2023 shall stand suspended till 30th June 2026.
(d) If the Applicants fail to deposit the amount of Rs.7,20,000/- on or before 30th June 2026 with the Registry of this Court, the Criminal Revision Application No. 29 of 2026 shall stand dismissed without further reference to the Court.
(e) If the Applicants deposit the amount of Rs.7,20,000/- on or before 30th June 2026 with the Registry of this Court, list the Criminal Revision Application No. 29 of 2026 on 1st July 2026.
5. Criminal Miscellaneous Application No. 70 of 2026 stands disposed of.
