This writ petition has been filed with a prayer to issue a direction to the Divisional Commissioner, Kokan Division, Mumbai before whom an appeal under section 60 of the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951 has been filed on 22nd December 2025. 2.

Finding substance in the allegation which was supported by the materials that the appellant continuously engaged himself in commission of offences causing fear, danger or injury to person or property, an order of externment was passed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Circle-6, Chembur, Mumbai on 3rd December 2025.

On an understanding that the appeal under section 60 of the Maharashtra Police Act, 1951 was in fact filed in the office before the designated officer on 22nd December 2025 and the said appeal is complete in all respects, we would direct the Divisional 1/2 904-WP-64-2026.doc Dixit

Commissioner, Kokan Division, Mumbai to take up the said appeal and decide the same within thirty days. 4.

With the above directions, Writ Petition No.64 of 2026 is disposed of.
