The Petitioners have the grievance that the Police have not recorded their compliant. The Advocate for the Petitioners has addressed the complaint dated 01/11/2025 to Senior Inspector, Vile Parle Police Station. A copy is given to Ten Authorities including the Hon'ble President of India. We fail to understand as to why these copies are given to various Authorites. The only prayer made before us is for direction for registration of F.I.R. The Petitioners have not taken Manisha 1/2

5-WP-137-2026.doc steps under Section 173(4) of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (BNSS). When we pointed out this fact to the learned Counsel for the Petitioners, she did not press this Petition, she sought liberty to follow the procedure under Section 173(4) of the BNSS, 2023. 2.

Permission is granted to withdraw this Petition with liberty to follow the procedure under Section 173(4) of the BNSS, 2023. If after that, the Petitioners are still not satisfied because of inaction of the Police, they are liberty to take steps in accordance with law. Looking at the allegation, the Police Officers of Vile Parle Police Station shall take steps to prevent any untoward incident in respect of safety of the Petitioners.

With these observations, the Writ Petition No.137 of 2026 is disposed of.
