By this petition the petitioner is praying for expedited hearing of the Sessions Case No. 939 of 2016 pending before the Sessions Judge, Pune.

It is contention of learned counsel for the petitioner that the Sessions case was filed in the year 2016 under Sections 307, 354-B, 342, 323, 504 and 506 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 (for short "IPC") registered with Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station. The father of the original complainant appeared before the learned Sessions Judge and submitted an affidavit stating that they do not want to pursue this further because his daughter got married a long time ago and is well settled with her family in
16-WP-583-2026 (CR).doc S.S.Kilaje Dehradun, but thereafter, there is no progress in the trial. The petitioner is a doctor and due to pending case, he has to travel to Pune on every date and requested to allow the petition.

Learned APP submits that appropriate order be passed. 4.
I have heard both the learned counsel. It appears that the Sessions case No. 939 of 2016 is pending since ten years before the Sessions Court, Pune but there is no progress in the trial. Considering this fact, I pass following order :
ORDER
a.
Writ Petition is allowed.
b.
Learned Sessions Judge, Pune shall decide the Sessions Case No. 939 of 2016 as early as possible preferably within four months from the receipt of this order. 5.
Writ Petition is disposed of.
