The learned Advocate appearing on behalf of Respondent No. 2 submits that the Department is aware of the judicial pronouncements and that, in circumstances such as those narrated in the present Petition, passports have been issued pursuant to orders of this Court. He further submits that the Department shall follow the judgments/orders/ of this Court and pass an appropriate order granting a passport to the Petitioner.

We would appreciate if the Respondent Authority passes an order expeditiously, considering that the Petitioner's mother, who is also an accused, is required to undergo a hip replacement surgery in India as soon as the Petitioner returns from the United States of America.
