The learned Senior Advocate Shri. Desai has prevailed upon Respondent No.5 and makes a statement on specific instructions that the said Respondent would be leaving the Mumbai University Purti Parab

912 @ 914-WP-880-2292-2026.odt premises at Kalina, by 5.00 p.m. on Sunday 3rd May, 2026. Since a room that was allocated to him in the hostel is now under lock and key of the University, as his Ph. D. programme has been brought to an end, he has some belongings in the room and the University should facilitate the opening of the room so that he can collect his belongings, take a wash, get into his alternative clothing and leave the hostel on the same day 3rd May, 2026.

Since a statement is made on specific instructions, we are listing this Writ Petition on 4th May, 2026 in the urgent admissions category for disposal, at Sr. No. 1.

It is assured that the entire set up that the said Respondent had put up at a particular spot in the University below a tree, would be cleared up and cleaned up in all respects leaving no trace of his set up and leave.

List Writ Petition No. 2292 of 2026 as well, on 4th May, 2026.
