1) Petitioner is challenging the Order dated 10th October 2025 passed by the Competent Authority rejecting his furlough Application and Order dated 20th November 2025 by the Appellate Authority confirming the Order passed by the Competent Authority.

2) By the impugned Order dated 10th October 2025, the Application of Petitioner for furlough leave has been rejected, predominantly on the ground that, when he was earlier released on furlough leave, he absconded, did not report to the jail Authority and had to be arrested and could only be brought back after a lapse of 3162 days.

DTG 45-Wp-1492-2026.doc 3) The Appellate Authority has also considered the ground that, when the Petitioner was released on furlough leave on earlier occasion, he did not report to jail within stipulated period and absconded and could be brought back only after lapse of 616 days.

4) After taking into consideration the previous record of the Petitioner, we are of the confirmed view that, the Competent Authority as well as Appellate Authority have not committed any error while rejecting the Application for furlough leave of the Petitioner. 5) We find no merits in the Petition and is accordingly rejected.
