This is a Petition for release of the Petitioner's wife from unlawful custody. The Petitioner's wife was detained at Kurla Police Station but she has escaped from Kurla Police Station and is now not traceable. In any case, the Petitioner's wife is not in custody of the Police Station, therefore, at this stage no order can be passed directing Manisha 1/2
21-WP-1792-2026.doc the police to produce the Petitioner's wife in the Court. In this situation, the Writ of Habeas Corpus cannot be issued and the Petitioner is at liberty to adopt proceedings in accordance with law for any other cause of action.
