The Petitioner has sought the following relief :- "(a) That this Hon'ble court may be pleased to issue a Writ in the nature of Mandamus, and/or any other writ, order and/or direction under Article 226 and 227 of the Constitution of India, thereby directing the Hon'ble C.J.J.D. JMFC, Thane to expedite the hearing of R.C.C. No.420952/2011 within stipulated time frame as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit."

Mr. Jilesh Sanghavi learned Advocate for the Petitioner, states that the proceeding bearing RCC No.420952 of 2011 is pending since the year 2011. He submits that the matter is pending for consideration of the Application seeking alteration of charge filed by the Special Public Prosecutor, who is appointed to represent the State in the said proceedings. He states that the Petitioner is a senior citizen (76 years of age) and as such is interested in expeditious disposal and conclusion of the trial.

Mrs. Anuja Gotad, learned APP for the Respondent/State, submits that the proceedings of the year 2011 are required to be disposed of expeditiously. 5.
Considering the limited relief in the present Petition, the 3rd Joint Civil Judge Junior Division & JMFC, Thane is requested to make an endeavour to expedite the disposal of the said proceedings i.e. RCC No. 420952 of 2011 subject to prior cases and expedited matters.

Mr Jilesh Sanghavi, learned Advocate for the Petitioner, states that this Petition can be disposed of with the above said directions.

Writ Petition No.1922 of 2026 is disposed of with the above said directions.
