This is a habeas corpus petition filed by the mother of one year and nine months old child. By the order dated 15.05.2026, a Division Bench of this Court had directed the Respondent No.2-father to handover custody of the child to the Petitioner. Vide the said order access was given to the Respondent No.2-father. Today, both the parties i.e. the Petitioner and the Respondent No.2 are present in the Court. In view of the order dated 15.05.2026 and the present situation, nothing further survives in this habeas corpus petition. However, in the interest of Digitally signed by VINOD BHASKAR GOKHALE Date:

19-wp-2538-26 justice, we asked the parties whether they are willing to go for mediation.

Learned counsel appearing for both the parties, on instructions of the Petitioner and the Respondent No.2, made a joint statement before this Court that the parties are willing to explore a possibility of settlement through mediation. Therefore, though we are disposing of this petition, with continuation of the order dated 15.05.2026 in respect of access to the Respondent No.2, both the parties are referred to the Mediation Center, Family Court at Pune. They shall attend the said center on 29.06.2026 at 11:00a.m. The officer in charge of the said mediation center shall appoint a suitable Mediator/counselor to make an attempt to bring about the settlement between the parties.
