DATE : 20.01.2026 The petitioner has approached the Court seeking direction against the respondent No.1 to conduct investigation relating to the complaint lodged by the petitioner. The argument is that respondent has not taken cognizance of the offence, despite case made out to that effect.

In our view, there is alternate and equally efficacious remedy available to the petitioner in terms of Section 175(3) of Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, (Section 156(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973), which the petitioner may avail, if so desired. 3.

With the aforesaid liberty, the petition is disposed of.
