Heard learned Counsel for the petitioner and learned Counsel appearing for the respondent. 2.

It appears that the petitioner has filed the appeal challenging the judgment and order passed by the learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Nagpur, wherein, the petitioner was convicted and sentenced and further compensation of Rs.14,00,000/- (Rupees Fourteen Lakhs) granted.

In appeal while suspending the sentence, the appellate Court directed the petitioner to deposit 20% amount of total compensation.

This order directing 20% amount is under challenge before this Court.

Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that he will deposit Rs.10 lakhs, for which learned Counsel for the respondent has no objection. 6.

Therefore, the statement made by the petitioner is accepted.

The petitioner is directed to deposit Rs.10 lakh before the concerned Sessions Court, within four weeks from today.

The order of the Appellate Court is modified accordingly only to that extent.

The Writ Petition stands disposed of with aforesaid observation.
