Heard.

The petitioner's brother has expired. He was found hanging to a tree with blood stains on his clothes. The postmortem report indicates cause of death as shock and haemorrhage due to vital organ injuries. The petitioner is seeking fair and meaningful investigation in the matter. One of the reasons, why he seeks that investigation is not fair, is that the investigating officer is pressurizing him to give a statement that his brother committed suicide. For the time being, issue notice to respondent nos. 3 to 5, returnable on 23-2-2026.

Learned Additional Public Prosecutor waives notice for respondent nos. 3 to 5.

Order cri. wp 76.2026.odt We request respondent no. 3 to personally look into the matter and ensure that the investigation in Crime No. 128/2025 registered with Police Station, Asegaon, Tahsil Mangrulpir, District Washim will be fair, meaningful and expeditious. Respondent no. 3 shall file affidavit to that effect.

Other respondents shall also file reply.
