DATED : 28-04-2026 By this petition, the petitioners are seeking a direction to respondent No.5-Enquiry Committee constituted as per the order dated 25-07-2025 issued by respondent No.3-Block Development Officer, Panchayat Samiti, Balapur, District Akola, to complete the enquiry within a period of fifteen days.

The petitioners are the office bearers of Maji Sainik Gram Vikas Samiti, Ridhora, Tahsil Balapur, District Akola. They are the voters of Village Panchayat, Ridhora. On 04-07-2025, the petitioners have made a complaint to respondent No.3-Block Development Officer, Panchayat Samiti, Balapur about misappropriation in 15th Finance Commission and Dalit Vasti Sudhar Scheme and prayed for an enquiry in the matter against Gramsevak and Sarpanch. On 25-07-2025, on the complaint of the petitioners, respondent No.3-Block Development Officer, Panchayat

2 wp 102.26 Samiti, Balapur had directed Gram-Panchayat, Ridhora to submit the report so that enquiry committee shall be constituted or not will be decided, and upon receiving the said preliminary report on 22-07-2025, respondent No. 3 on 25-07-2025 issued the order and constituted the Three-Member Committee, which consists of Extension Officer, Panchayat Samiti; Assistant Audit Officer and Junior Engineer (Construction). 3.

In view of the said order dated 25-07-2025, the Committee was constituted for conducting an enquiry. By this petition, the only direction is sought to complete the enquiry within fifteen days. Learned Counsel for respondent Nos. 3 and 5 i.e. Block Development Officer and Extension Officer, Panchayat Samiti, Balapur, District Akola made a statement, on instructions, that the enquiry would be completed within a month. Thus, respondent No. 5 has to complete the enquiry on or before 27-05-2026. 4.

In view of the statement, the petition is disposed of with a liberty that on failure to complete the said enquiry, the petitioners are at liberty to take appropriate steps.
