MARCH 10, 2026 The petitioner - husband has approached this Court to issue writ of habeas corpus directing respondent nos. 2 to 5 to produce respondent no.6 - Sau. Aarati before the Court. According to the petitioner, he and respondent no.6 got married on 16/1/2026. The marriage was registered before a Trust, namely, Chandravila Trust. A certificate of marriage is issued (Annexure - A at page no.13 of the petition). 2] Respondent no.4 - Amdapur Police Station has produced respondent no.6 before the Court. Her parents and relatives (around 13 in number) are also present. The petitioner is present in the Court. The Counsel for the petitioner submits that his parents are on way. This submission is made at 3:30 pm.
3] Be that as it may, the petitioner and respondent no.6 are present before the Court. We have interacted with them, as also, the relatives of respondent no.6. The conflict is caste based. Respondent no.6, however, submits that she has willingly married the petitioner, and wish to reside with him. When enquired, she submits that she is 26 years old. The petitioner is said to be 27 years old. The interaction reveals that the petitioner and respondent no.6 have taken a decision to carry forward with the relationship. They further submit
32-WP-154-2026 that they will complete necessary formalities of registration of marriage before the concerned Marriage Registrar. We permit them to do so. The same shall be done within one month from today. Respondent no.6 shall, accordingly, proceed to accompany the petitioner from here onwards.
4] The petition is disposed of in terms of above.
5] At this stage, the petitioner and respondent no.6 submits that her mobile and educational documents are with respondent no.5. He be directed to handover the same.
6] We find that the relation between the parties is strained, and accordingly, we direct the Investigating Officer to collect mobile and educational documents from respondent no.5 and handover to respondent no.6 within one week from today.
LATER ON 7] Father of petitioner - Santosh Mahore and few relatives are present. The father is identified by the Counsel for the petitioner. He submits that his family is willing to accept the marriage, and will take necessary steps. The statement is accepted.
