Heard.

2] Issue Rule returnable forthwith. The learned A.P.P. waives service of Rule on behalf of the respondent. With consent of the learned Counsel for the petitioner and the learned A.P.P, the petition is taken up for final hearing. 3] The respondent had acceded to the request of the petitioner to release him on furlough leave, and accordingly, an order was passed on 27/1/2026 with a condition that the

16-WP-162-2026.odt 2 petitioner should furnish personal bond of Rs.2,000/- with cash surety of equal amount, and further, to furnish surety for the same.

4] The petitioner has approached this Court seeking concession to the extent of getting surety saying that he will furnish PR bond and cash surety.

5] The Counsel for the petitioner submits that pending petition, his friend, viz., Kuldeep Singh Gurbachan Singh Angad, has shown willingness to act as surety. She submits that the purpose of filing the petition will be served, if the aforesaid friend of the petitioner is permitted to act as surety. 6] We grant permission to the petitioner to do so. The respondent shall, accordingly, consider the surety so furnished by the petitioner's friend, and to extend benefit to the petitioner in terms of order dated 27/1/2026. The process shall be completed within two weeks from today.

7] Rule is made absolute in the aforesaid terms. No costs.
