Learned counsel for the petitioner has preferred this petition for quashing of order dated 8.1.2026 passed by respondent No.2 rejecting prayer granting parole leave for construction of house.

In view of Rule 13 of the Maharashtra Prisons (Furlough and Parole Rules 2024), regular parole may be granted to prisoner to attend serious illness of his spouse or blood relatives, birth of his child, marriage of his children or siblings or the aftermath of natural calamities like floods, fire, earthquake resulting in damage to his house and property.

None of such reasons are available with the petitioner.

In view of that, we have shown our disinclination to entertain the petition and, therefore, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks leave to withdraw the petition. 6.

The criminal writ petition is disposed of as withdrawn.
