By way of this application, the applicant is seeking regular bail as well as ad-interim bail in connection with Crime No.74 of 2026 registered with the Frezarpura Police Station, Amravati City for the offences punishable under Sections 20(b)(ii)(C) , 29 and 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985.

Issue notice to the non-applicant(s), returnable on 05.05.2026. Learned APP waives notice on behalf of the non-applicant/State.

So far as ad-interim bail is concerned, learned Counsel for the applicant submits that the marriage of the applicant is fixed for 27.04.2026; however, other rituals are commencing from 26.04.2026, and therefore, the applicant has prayed to be enlarged on temporary bail for one week.

Yesterday, this Court had asked the learned APP to take instructions regarding the marriage of the
2 1.ba.582.2026 applicant. Accordingly, the learned APP has taken instructions and verified that the marriage card annexed to the application is genuine and that the applicant is going to get married on 27.04.2026.

The learned APP vehemently opposes the application on the ground that the applicant was arrested after 40 days from the registration of the FIR, and there is every possibility that the applicant might abscond; hence, the application is prayed to be rejected. 7.
I have considered the rival submissions and perused the record. It appears that the applicant is going to get married on 27.04.2026, and the rituals are commencing from 26.04.2026, to which the learned APP has conceded.

Considering all these facts and in the interest of justice, I am inclined to enlarge the applicant on temporary bail by imposing stringent conditions. Hence the following order :
(a) The application as regards to ad-interim bail is hereby allowed.
(b) The applicant Rahul s/o raju Jadhao be released on temporary bail in connection with Crime No.74 of 2026 registered with the Frezarpura Police Station, Amravati City from 25.04.2026 to 29.04.2026 on furnishing P.R. bond of Rs.50,000/- with two solvent sureties in the like amount.
(c) The applicant shall surrender before the concerned Jail Authority on 30.04.2026.
3 1.ba.582.2026 (d) The applicant shall attend Frezarpura Police Station during temporary bail period i.e. from 25.04.2026 to 29.04.2026 except 27.04.2026, between 9.00 am to 10.00 am.
(e) The applicant shall not directly or indirectly make any inducement, threat or promise to any person acquainted with the facts of the case, as also shall not tamper with the evidence.
(f) The accused shall provide his residential address and cell number to Police Station concerned and shall not change his place of residence without prior intimation to the Investigating Agency. (M.M. NERLIKAR , J.
