By this application, applicant is seeking anticipatory bail in Crime No.380 of 2018 registered with Akkalkot North Police Station, District: Solapur (Rural) for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 406, 409 read with Sections 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3 & 4 of the Maharashtra Protection of Interest of Depositors Act, 1999.

The case of the prosecution is that the members of Shubh Kalyan Multistate Co-operative Credit Society had induced the investors to invest the money in the Society. The investors were duped for an amount of Rs.7,73,950/-.

The contention of applicant is that he was working as watchman with the sugar factory and was shown as Director of Sajakali Jamadar

In the report submitted by the Economic Offences Wing dated 07.04.2018, it is categorically mentioned that the applicant was working as watchman, is shown as bogus director of the Society. The main accused Dilip S. Aapet, who is the Chairman of the said Co-operative Credit Society was granted bail. During the course of investigation, the properties are attached and the amount is secured.

The co-accused in the present crime namely Pradip Subhash Katmande and Dattatraya Mahadev Bhise, who are similarly situated like that of applicant are granted anticipatory bail by this Court at Principle Seat vide order dated 03.10.2022. The applicant is also entitled for bail on the ground of parity.

In the result, the application is allowed by confirming interim protection granted to the applicant on 13.01.2026. 6.
The applicant shall not tamper the prosecution evidence and shall scrupulously attend the trial.
