In the FIR, omnibus allegations are levelled against eight accused persons that they have assaulted the informant's father-inlaw with iron rod and snatched the gold cain of three tolas. 5.
The cross FIR is lodged by the side of applicant/accused, which appears to be prior in point of time, on 02.11.2025 registered at Sangola Police Station in C.R. No.866 of 2025 for the offences under Sections 118(1), 118(2), 119(1), 352, 351(2), 189(2), 190, 191(2), 191(3) of the BNS, 2023 against five accused persons including father-in-law of the informant. The applicant was granted interim protection and was directed to attend the concerned police station and cooperate in the investigation. Accordingly, the applicant has attended the police station and cooperated in the investigation. 6.
Prima facie it appears that the allegations of snatching gold chain are levelled only to increase the gravity of the offence. In view of filing of the charge-sheet, custodial interrogation of the applicant is not necessary.
7.
In the result, the application is allowed by confirming interim protection granted by order dated 30.01.2026. 8.
The Applicant shall not tamper with the prosecution evidence.
