Heard learned counsel for the applicant and learned App for non-applicant/State. Perused the case diary. 2.

The applicant is seeking anticipatory bail in connection with Crime No. 0023/2026, registered with Police Station, Gondia (Rural), Dist. Gondia for the offences punishable under Sections 333, 118(1), 352, 351(2), 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

It appears that the applicant, who is a teenager, had abused the nephew of the complainant and therefore, the complainant had scolded him. On 10.1.2026, at about 8.30 p.m., when the complainant was sleeping in his courtyard, the applicant along with two persons came there and assaulted the complainant by means of knife on his back, below the waist and also threatened to kill the complainant and fled the spot. Due to the assault, the complainant sustained bleeding injury.

It appears that the offence under Section 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita is punishable with imprisonment for upto three years only. The complainant was immediately discharged after first aid.

Considering the punishment prescribed for the alleged offence, nature of injuries sustained and age of the applicant, a case is made out for grant of anticipatory bail. 6.

So far as the anxiety of the learned APP with respect to seizure of the weapon is concerned; in my view, the applicant can be put on stringent terms. Further, there is hardly any chance of the applicant fleeing away from justice. In view of this, the following order is passed: i) In the event of arrest of applicant- Ritesh s/o Bundel Sulakhe, in connection with Crime No. 0023/2026, registered with Police Station, Gondia (Rural), Dist. Gondia for the offences punishable under Sections 333, 118(1), 352, 351(2), 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, he shall be released on bail on furnishing a PR bond of Rs. 25,000/- with one solvent surety in the like amount.

ii) The applicant shall attend the concerned Police Station on every Friday and Tuesday between 10.00 am and 12.00 noon for a period of three weeks and shall cooperate in the investigation.

iii) The applicant shall not indulge in tampering with the prosecution evidence and shall not pressurize the prosecution witnesses in any manner.

iv) Presence of the applicant in the Police Station shall be considered as custody within the meaning of Section 23 of the Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam, 2023.

v) The applicant shall not enter in Pandharabodi area till filing of the charge sheet.
