The applicant is apprehending arrest in connection with Crime No.57 of 2026 registered with Akkalkot North Police Station, District. Solapur (Rural) for the offences punishable under Sections 316 (4) and 318 (2) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

Heard the learned counsel for the applicant and the learned A.P.P, for the non-applicant - State.

The F.I.R. reveals that accused No.2 is stated to be the driver of the present applicant. It is alleged that one Mr. Amar Bogade was provided with a SIM card, by the complainant issued in his name, which was subsequently handed over to the driver of the applicant. The said driver is alleged to have
posted certain defamatory videos against a political leader on Instagram. Pursuant to the complaint lodged by the complainant who had initially provided the SIM card to Amar Bogade, both Amar Bogade and the driver of the applicant came to be arrested. During the course of investigation, it has been revealed that the driver had posted the said defamatory videos on Instagram at the instance of the present applicant. 4.
Learned A.P.P. fairly submits that the investigation is complete and the charge-sheet has been filed. It is further contended that the applicant has been interrogated and has co-operated with the investigation. 5.
Considering the submission of the learned A.P.P and the fact that nothing is required to be seized from the applicant, a case is made out for grant of anticipatory bail to the applicant. Hence, the following order: : O R D E R :
(a) The Application is allowed.
(b) The applicant - Amar Ramesh Patil shall be released on bail upon furnishing a P.R bond in the sum of Rs.25,000/- with one solvent surety in the like amount, in connection with Crime No.57 of 2026 registered with Akkalkot North Police Station, District. Solapur (Rural) for the offences punishable under Sections 316 (4) and 318 (2) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.
(c) The applicant shall appear before the concerned Police Station on 8th May, 2026, 15th May, 2026 and 22nd May, 2026
between 10.00 a.m and 12.00 noon and co-operate in the investigation.
(d) The applicant shall not tamper with the prosecution evidence or threaten the prosecution witnesses in any manner. (6) With these directions, the application stands disposed of. [M. W. CHANDWANI, J.]
