Heard the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the applicants.

Issue notice to the non-applicant/State, returnable on 25.03.2026.

Learned APP waives service of notice on behalf of the non-applicant/State.

The applicants are apprehending arrest in connection with Crime No. 222/2026 registered with Police Station, Umred, Dist. Nagpur for the offences punishable under Sections 109(2), 118(2), 132, 324(3), 324(5), 326(F), 189(2), 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and Sections 3, 4 of the Prevention of Damages to Public Property Act, 1984.

The contention is that the acquaintance of the applicants along with his daughter died in a vehicular accident. Therefore, in anguish, the people who gathered there started beating the driver of the Tipper and also

According to the learned counsel, the names of the applicants are not mentioned in the FIR. He further submits that the alleged incident occurred on the spur of the moment.

Considering the submissions and the fact that the case-diary is not available with the Court for perusal at this juncture, a case is made out for grant of ad-interim protection to the applicant.
i) Pending the application, in the event of arrest of applicant- (1) Bhupati Ramesh Kilnake and (2) Dhiraj Sangharatna Mandaokar in connection with Crime No. 222/2026 registered with Police Station, Umred, Dist. Nagpur for the offences punishable under Sections 109(2), 118(2), 132, 324(3), 324(5), 326(F), 189(2), 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and Sections 3, 4 of the Prevention of Damages to Public Property Act, 1984, they be released on bail on furnishing a PR bond of Rs.25,000/- each with one solvent surety each in the like amount.
ii) The applicants shall attend the concerned Police Station on every Wednesday and Friday between 10.00 am and 12.00 noon for a period of three weeks and shall co-operate in the investigation.
(iii) The applicants shall not indulge in tampering with the prosecution evidence and shall not pressurize the prosecution witnesses in any manner.
