Heard the learned counsel for the applicant and learned APP for the non-applicant/State. I have gone through the Case Diary.

The applicant is seeking anticipatory bail in connection with Crime No. 24/2026, registered with Police Station Janephal, Dist Buldhana, for the offences punishable under Sections 167,420,465,466,468 and 471 r/w Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

It appears that Block Development Officer, Panchayat Samiti, Mehkar has lodged a complaint with the Police Station alleging that there was forgery in the Gao Namuna 8 by the co-accused who was the then Gram Sevak, by putting the name of the applicant in the column of house owner to show encroachment on the Government land. Since, the act was done in the year 2016-17, apart from Gramsevak who is the co-accused, the complaint was also lodged against the

It appears from the document filed by the applicant that the Block Development Officer, after going through the record has stated that at the relevant time, the applicant was not on the post of Sarpanch. Be that as it may, the fact remains that the documents have already been seized and nothing is required to be seized from the applicant. 5.

Vide order dated 12.3.2026, by way of ad interim relief, the applicant was protected subject to certain conditions. As per the condition imposed, the applicant has attended the concerned police station and cooperated in the investigation.

Considering the nature of allegations, stage of investigation and the role assigned to the applicant coupled with the observation made by the Block Development Officer, a case is made out for confirmation of ad interim order.

In view of the above, the application is allowed. Interim order dated 12.3.2026 is hereby confirmed on the same terms and conditions. The applicant shall attend the concerned Police Station as and when directed by the Investigating Officer.
