The applicant is apprehending his arrest in connection with Crime No.90/2026 registered with Police Station, Rajapeth, District Amravati for the offences punishable under Sections 318(4), 316(2), 351(2) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and Section 3 of the Maharashtra Protection of Interest of Depositors (in Financial Establishments) Act, 1999.

Issue notice to the non-applicant, returnable on 06.04.2026.

Ms Sapkal, learned APP waives service of notice on behalf of the non-applicant and prays for time to file reply. 4.

The contention of the applicant is that, though the FIR claims that an amount of 1.51 Cr. has been given to the ₹ applicant but infact, a total amount of 55 Lakh was given to ₹ the applicant. It is also contended that out of the said amount, 26 lakhs was refunded to the complainant. It is ₹

Considering the submissions, detailed scrutiny of the case diary is necessary, which is not available at present. Reply of the State is also yet to be filed on record. In the meanwhile, the applicant can be granted ad interim protection. Hence, the following order:

ORDER

(i) Pending the application, in the event of arrest in connection with Crime No.90/2026 registered with Police Station, Rajapeth, District Amravati for the offences punishable under Sections 318(4), 316(2), 351(2) of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and Section 3 of the Maharashtra Protection of Interest of Depositors (in Financial Establishments) Act, 1999, the applicant - Shrikant Hargovind Kalantri be released on bail on furnishing a PR bond of Rs.25,000/- with one solvent surety in the like amount.

(ii) The applicant shall attend the concerned Police Station on every Thursday and Monday between 10.00 am to 12.00 noon for the next two weeks and cooperate with the investigating authority.

(iii) The applicant shall not tamper with the prosecution evidence and shall not threaten the prosecution witnesses. (M.W. Chandwani, J.) Wagh
