The applicant is apprehending his arrest in connection with Crime No.0168/2026 registered with Police Station Ramtek, Nagpur for the offences punishable under Sections 376 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.

Issue notice to the non-applicant, returnable on 15-04-2026.

Learned APP waives service of notice on behalf of the State and prays for time to file reply.

The contention of the applicant is that the initial complaint lodged on 06.02.2026 alleged only the offence of outraging the modesty of the prosecutrix and no allegation of rape was made therein. However, in the subsequent FIR which has been filed after the earlier complaint, the prosecutrix has levelled allegations of rape. A detailed scrutiny of the case diary is necessary.

Considering the submissions, a case is made out for adinterim protection. Hence, the following order : (i) Pending the application, in the event of arrest in connection with Crime No.0168/2026 registered with Police Station Ramtek, Nagpur for the offences punishable under Sections 376 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code, the applicant be released on bail on executing a PR bond of Rs. 25,000/- with one solvent surety in the like amount.
(ii) The applicant shall attend the concerned Police Station on every Tuesday and Friday between 10.00 am to 02.00 pm for the next two weeks and cooperate with the investing authority. (iii) The applicant shall not tamper with the prosecution evidence and shall not threaten the prosecution witnesses. (M.W.
