The Applicant is apprehending arrest in connection with Crime No. 672 of 2025, registered with Vadgaon Police Station, District Kolhapur, for the offences punishable under Sections 228, 229, 336(3), 337, 339, and 341(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023.

Issue notice to the Non-Applicants, returnable on 10.06.2026. 3.

Mr. Choudhary, learned APP, waives service of notice on behalf of NonApplicant No. 1 and seeks time to file a reply. 4.

Heard the learned Counsels for the respective parties.

It appears that the Applicant is the father of Accused No. 1, Chaitanya Deshmukh, who had applied for a caste validity certificate before the Caste Scrutiny Committee. The Committee found that the school leaving certificate of the year 1951 submitted by the son of the Applicant is a fabricated document. Pursuant to a communication issued by the Caste Scrutiny Committee, the aforesaid offence came to be registered against the son of the Applicant.

It is contended that even if the present Applicant is the father of the accused, he has no role to play in the alleged offence. It is further submitted that the Applicant is suffering from a heart disease. 7.

Considering the fact that the main accused has already been arrested, as well as the submissions advanced, a detailed scrutiny of the case diary is required, which is not available today. Therefore, a case is made out for grant of ad-interim relief. Hence, the following order:

ORDER

(i) Pending the application, in the event of arrest in connection with with Crime No. 672 of 2025, registered with Vadgaon Police Station, DistrictKolhapur, for the offences punishable under Sections 228, 229, 336(3), 337, 339 and 341(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, ApplicantNagesh Yeshvant Kamble, shall be released on bail upon furnishing a P.R. bond of 25,000/- with one solvent surety in the like amount. ₹

(ii) The Applicant shall attend the concerned Police Station every Friday and Tuesday between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon for a period of two weeks and shall cooperate in the investigation.
