This is an application for grant of anticipatory bail in connection with First Information Report No. 112/2026, dated 09/03/2026, registered with Police Station Nagpuri Gate, District Amravati for the offences punishable under Sections 21(c), 22(c), 8(c), 28 and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (for short, 'N.D.P.S. Act).

The applicant is named as accused no. 7 in the FIR. The relevant part of the application is reproduced as under:- "(D) CRIMINAL ANTECEDENTS FIR No. and Police Station: one criminal antecedent. Police station no. 636/2025 police Station, Nagpuri Gate, Dist. Amravati. Sections: 8(c), 21(c), 29 of the NDPS Act.

Status (Pending/Acquitted Convicted: pending and released on bail."

During the course of hearing, the learned APP for the State has strongly objected pointing out the

2 17) ABA 330-2026.odt conduct and attitude of the applicant to mislead this Court. He has tendered a copy of Chart, which is taken on record and marked as 'X' for identification. According to him, the Chart itself would reveal that total 18 cases are registered against the applicant.

The learned counsel for the applicant is not in a position to rebut the aforesaid fact. Since the criminal antecedents are suppressed, and as the false statement is made in the application, the application is rejected. (RAJNISH R. VYAS, J.) B.T.K.
